We can’t help ourselves but go all big eyed and high-pitch-voiced when we see something ridiculously adorable! I think it’s a natural instinct to be insanely cuted-out when we see chibi little animals or babies. You can’t resist feeling your heart melt a little when you see a kitten attempting a meow or a baby dressed up as a panda. Let me hear it now, AWWWWWWWW!
As a parent you are given the perfect excuse to dress your baby as you wish because until they insist on what they wear, it’s all down to you. This is where dozens of cute outfits are thrown in and released upon your little one to go out into the world for people to go anime eyed at. I think some parents go a tad mad at the prospect of what they can make their child wear. But each to their own and as long as their child is safe and happy I don’t see any harm in it. We, personally as parents have dressed our son in what we think suits him with a bit of our own style added in till he makes his own decisions. For instance, we try to go for a lot of bold bright funky colours but also use character tops like spider-man or batman. I know we would personally love to get Cabbit dinosaur and Stitch onesies. He would look so adorable! Oops, there I go! Cuteness overload!
I can’t wait till my son can pick his own clothes as I am intrigued what he would choose to wear himself. I am never going to force him into something he hates; at the end of the day it’s his body and he will be in control of how he clothes it (within reason). A bit like in Big Daddy, but hopefully teaching him what’s practical or peculiar to wear so he doesn’t insist on wearing just his nappy into his adulthood. Oh dear, I have a long journey ahead of me but I think it will be a fun, exciting one.
